Not Your Average Frozen Yogurt

Dessert is a MUST for me!

You can ask my boyfriend, no dinner is complete without dessert. I’m alway searching for something sweet at night. I would have ice cream all the time if my stomach let me :( . But since it doesn’t, I had to come up with a better alternative. And what is better than frozen yogurt? It’s ice cream’s healthier sister! It’s sweet, creamy, has less fat and provides probiotics for the gut.

But in all honesty, frozen yogurt isn’t as satisfying in a carton from the store. I’m sorry, it just isn’t. And I can’t go running off to our local yogurt shops Pinkberry, or Yoga-urt every night. So we’ve got to come up with a solution here!

I think I may have found my new favorite alternative…

This sweet treat has all the freshness of a bowl from your favorite frozen yogurt shop, from the comfort of your own home! And it’s super fun to make.

Ingredients:

  • 1 tub of your favorite greek yogurt

  • Peanut Butter

  • Strawberries

Steps:

Now there aren’t any strict measurements for this recipe. It’s all about fun and making this dessert from the heart, so put as much as your little heart desires of each ingredient. Here we go:

  1. First, grab a baking sheet, any size, and lay out some parchment paper or tin foil. Grab some greek yogurt, plain or vanilla, and spread out a thick layer to cover the paper.

  2. Then, take some peanut butter and melt it so that you can drizzle it over the yogurt.

  3. Next, grab some strawberries, slice them up, and sprinkle them all around the top of the yogurt and peanut butter.

  4. Cover the baking sheet to avoid freezer-burn and stick it in the freezer for a couple of hours until frozen.

  5. Once frozen, take it off the sheet and break the delicious into pieces or whatever portions you’d like. This way you can place them in a closed container and store them in the freezer to preserve freshness.

  6. Enjoy your very own beautiful, homemade fro-yo bars! Try the recipe with different toppings every time.
