A new way to do Oatmeal for Breakfast

When the weather outside is frightful, a hot bowl of Oatmeal is so delightful!

I love a good bowl of Oatmeal, but Oatmeal doesn’t always love me. I don’t know what it is but the consistency of regular oatmeal makes me nauseous and irritates my stomach. But I just love it so much. So I wondered if there was another way to make it?

I decided to try baking it. I took all my favorite oatmeal ingredients and threw it together in the oven, instead of the microwave. And I think I came up with something quite nice!

I call it the Apple Cinnamon Oatmeal Bake. Ok so maybe we need to find a better, shorter name but it works for now.

I start by preheating the oven to 400 degrees. While the oven is heating up, I chop up two apples. I like to use one granny smith, because they are my favorite, and a red apple to add a little more sweetness to the Granny Smith.

Throw those in a bowl and set aside. Then I grab 1/2 cup of dried oats, 2 tbsp of peanut butter, and 2 tbsp of agave or honey and add it to the bowl. Mix it all together and add as much cinnamon as your little heart desires!

Place it in the pan and spread it out as best as you can so that it bakes evenly. Stick it in the oven for 20 minutes, and let the glorious apple cinnamon smell fill your house!

Once it is ready, it will become more like a hot granola that is ready to scope up and ENJOY! It goes perfectly with a cozy blanket, hot coffee and your favorite Christmas movie!
